Today, the International Organization of Masters, Mates & Pilots (MM&P) has announced its endorsement of Mark Takai for Congress representing Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District.
MM&P praised Takai’s work in the Hawaii State House. “As a veteran and an active member of the Hawaii National Guard, who has been deployed overseas, Mark Takai has firsthand knowledge of the value and importance of a strong, viable Merchant Marine,” said Randy Swindell, MM&P Hawaii Representative. “I am confident that he will be a strong and effective advocate for sound policy to preserve American middle-class jobs and the Maritime Industry.”
